Our Mission
Partnering with our community to help Fairfield County thrive
Fairfield County's Community Foundation works closely with community organizations, nonprofits, businesses and philanthropists to address challenges and identify opportunities to create a stronger, more vibrant community.
HOW WE SERVE YOU AS A COMMUNITY FOUNDATION
A community foundation is a tax-exempt independent nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of people
in a defined local geographic area. As a grantmaking foundation supported by a broad range of private and
public donors across the community, we are governed by a board of directors from all local sectors. With
deep local roots and extensive philanthropic knowledge, we partner with people and organizations that care
about their community to help them make a greater impact.
Founded in 1992, Fairfield County's Community Foundation
serves all 23 cities and towns across Fairfield County and is one of Connecticut's largest community foundations.
MAKE AN IMPACT THROUGH PHILANTHROPY
Whether you'd like to establish a donor-advised fund, explore other vehicles for charitable giving or discover new ways to make an impact in Fairfield County, our experienced team members can help make the process simple, effective and meaningful.
